Hello World!

Hello!

I am very excited to begin this food blog, although it is very strange for me to do so. See, I am not a writer. I have always been more of a reader. I am also not a photographer. All the photos on my website that look spectacular are taken by the talented Leandra Blei.  So what the hell is this girl doing starting a blog? Well, I happen to be a pretty bad ass chef, and I love to share my creations with anyone willing to listen. I want the Crisp By Kelsey Blog to be your favorite place for recipes, tips, and everything food. But before I can get to the food, I will share a little bit about myself. I grew up outside of Dallas, Texas and then moved to Austin, Texas when I was 19 to follow my life long dream of....getting out of my home town. To be honest I had no Idea what I wanted to do I was just ready to experience something else. Austin, Texas seemed like the perfect place to start. I have always been creative, whether it was painting, choreographing dances to Spice Girls with my friends, arts & crafts, decorating the front of school binders, or building a half chicken club, half caprese grilled cheese sandwich to munch on (yes, this was a real creation of mine and it was delicious). In 2012 I decided to focus all of my creativity into food. I started my journey at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin and it was the most amazing experience. I loved food and everything about it. In 2013 I graduated with High Honors and big dreams. Since graduating, I have worked mostly in the restaurant industry. The restaurant industry taught me skills that can't be taught in culinary school, or learned at home. I love cooking different types of dishes, for many different people. For me, Personal Chef services was perfect. So in 2014, I welcomed Crisp By Kelsey to the world. I always have a smile on my face when working on anything "Crisp". Please, check out my gallery of beautiful photos taken by Leandra Blei, click on the Crisp Instagram link to see what I'm cooking for my clients, and follow along the Crisp Blog to see new recipes I am creating!
